Seeking Roommates and rides for the NERFA conference in November in Stamford,CT

07/29/2018 12:36 PM | Deleted user

Hi, this is Joel Pomerantz, a 61 YO old male SAW member who will be attending the NERFA  (Northeast Regional Folk Alliance at www.nerfa.org) conference on Thursday afternoon, November 8, 2018 through Sunday afternoon November 11th, 2018 in Stamford,CT. Take a look at the website and you will see who  is on the  main stage. The price of attending the conference goes significantly up  after August 15th

A. First (and  most critically), am seeking at least one roommate for ALL three nights (the  cost for each  person  in the room goes way down with the  first person to add themselves to my room, and less so with each additional person up  to a maximum of four in the room) which are Thursday  night the 8th, Friday the 9th,  Saturday the  10th. Due to medical reasons, cannot share a bed. Will be in the room only to shower, brush teeth twice a day, and shave in the morning. The entire point of NERFA is not to sleep and bedtime is often after 330 AM and rising not later than 9 AM. It is in a nonperforming area, but NERFA is a "three ring circus" for the duration of the conference and does not stop until Sunday  morning. PLEASE email me at pomeranj-at-hotmail-dot-com, as soon as possible.

B.  Am, also, less critically, seeking a ride to the conference to arrive not later than 3 PM on the Thursday afternoon and a ride back that can start after the Farewell luncheon ends at about 2 or 230 PM on Sunday afternoon. This is less critical, as trains and buses run to and from Stamford to DC, but the scheduling of these, for the return trip, is liable to leave me stranded at DC Union Station and not in my own bed, as the Metro shuts down at 11 PM on Sunday nights and does not resume until 5 AM on Monday mornings (Monday the 12th is also the official Veteran's Day  Holiday and so the schedule may be different for the Metro starting time) Again, please contact me at pomeranj-at-hotmail-dot-com.
