MASC were announced at the MASC Gala on November 21, 2005 at Jammin' Java in Vienna, VA. We thank all the judges and Board of Directors for
their support and assistance.

Susan Greenbaum (Richmond, VA) won Grand Prize and Second Place Overall
for her songs "Spin Like a Top" (Pop) and "You Are My Holiday" (Open), which also won Gold in their respective categories. |

Third Place Overall Winner: Dwayne "Storm the Unpredictable" Henry
(Gaithersburg, MD) performed "Contradictions," which also won Gold in the R&B/Rap/Hip-Hop category. |

Margot MacDonald (Arlington, VA) won the Young Artist Prize for her song "Serendipity." |

Eric Weinberg (Burke, VA) performed "Sun's Gonna Shine," which won Gold in the Adult Contemporary
category. |

Iain Campbell Smith (Washington, DC)
performed "Four Strong Hands," which won Silver in the Country/Bluegrass category. |

Cletus Kennelly (Silver Spring, MD) won Gold in the Folk category for his song "Undertow." |

Lori Kelley (Centreville, VA) and Richard Engdahl won Silver in the Folk/Acoustic
category for their song "Domino." |

Billy Coulter and his band performed "Disconnected," which won Gold in the Rock/Alternative category. |

Peter Paulsen (West Chester, PA) won Gold in the Jazz/Blues/Instrumental category
for his song "Forza Blu." |

Seth Kibel (Pikesville,
MD) and his band performed "Where There's A Will, There's A Waltz," which won Silver in the Jazz/Blues/Instrumental
category. |

Sonya Lorelle (Norfolk,
VA) performed "Be the One," which won Silver in the Rap/Hip-Hop category. |

"When You Fall," which won Silver in the Open category. She co-wrote the song with Lynne Revo-Cohen. |

Those who attended our gala had the great pleasure of hearing the songs performed by the songwriters and musicians who wrote them. As
always, the gala is the culmination of many months of hard work on the part of judges, volunteers and most of all, the participants of
the contest. |
