| The 23rd Annual Mid-Atlantic Song Contest (2006) |

The grand prize, second prize, and third prize overall winners were announced at the MASC Gala on December 3, 2006 at Jammin Java. WINNERS
Grand Prize overall: "Forgive Me" by Terence Nicholson (Washington, DC), which also won Gold in the Rap/Hip-hop category.
Second Prize overall: "I'm Waiting" by Joy Lippard and co-writer Paul Barber (Great Falls, VA), which also won Gold in the Gospel category. She also won Silver in the Pop category with her song "Be Yourself."
Third Prize overall: "Before I Fall" by Louis Cate (Alexandria, VA), which also won Gold in the Country category. He also won Silver in the Jazz category for his song "Compliments of the Blues."
CHILDREN'S
FOLK Gold: "Keep
the Change" by David Lamotte (Montreat, NC). He also won Silver
in the Instrumental category for his song "Madison's Tune." INSTRUMENTAL
Gold: "The Blues Down in the Delta" by Edward P. Becker (Silver Spring, MD)
Gold: "My Name is Justin" by Ron Fetner (Seaford, VA) Silver: "I
Wish You Well" by Bill Mulroney (Ashton, MD) Gold: "Elixir" by Daniel Lee (Philadelphia, PA). He also won Silver in the Rap/Hip-hop category for his song "Tiny Spaces." Silver: "Finish What You Started" by Angela Ortiz (Brooklyn, NY)
Gold: "Siempre" by Allison Sutherland (Falls Church, VA) Silver: "Be
