SAW's open mics and showcases are excellent opportunities for members and guests to perform their creative material and to ensure a stage for original music in the D.C. area. Bangkok Blues Showcase (Every Third Thursday and Fourth Wednesday of the month, (7:00pm-11:00pm)

Bangkok Blues is a nonsmoking venue and features great Thai food and exciting live music.

Brewer's Alley/SAW Music Showcase (Every Monday, 8:00pm-10:30pm)

The Monday Showcase includes a featured act in the middle playing a 45-minute set, and up to 7 others playing 3-song guest sets. There is no cover charge, but a tip basket is passed, which goes to the featured act.

Shows often include many topnotch performers who contribute three songs each to create spectacular evenings--Presented by Rod Deacey (from England) and Ron Goad (from Front Royal).

Interested performers may sign up in advance for guest sets by contacting Ron Goad, the host, by e-mail or by calling (703) 266-7060.

SAW/Montgomery County Showcase (Every Fourth Friday, 6:30pm-8:30pm)

Just like the rules at its former location in Olney, MD, the venue requires originals only. To sign up to do a showcase set, contact Jennifer Elcano at 301-594-6314.

When it's warm enough to move the show outside onto the large, luxurious patio, we'll add an open mic segment to the end of the 2 hours.

West Market Concert Series (First sundays quarterly at 7:15 pm)

Come early to have your own indoor/outdoor picnic BYOB and food. Kitchen and BBQ grill facilities too! Donations up to $10 per person requested/encouraged

The SAW – West Market Concert Series was founded to provide performance opportunities for SAW’s best artists and monthly entertainment offerings for West Market residents. SAW-WM Concert Series will usually be on the first Sundays every three months (on a quarterly basis.)
