Partnerships Director

Lynne Revo-Cohen is the Partnerships Director on the SAW Board. In that role, Lynne seeks to form relationships with other songwriter and music organizations to further our goals. Over the past two years, Lynne has worked with Cary Whaley, our Education Director to co-sponsor educational events with groups such as NSAI, WAMA, and the DC Cabaret Network. Lynne is also working with ASCAP in a partnership to sponsor the first ASCAP/SAW Showcase at the Kennedy Center. She is also developing relationships with the Levine School of Music and the Music Center at Strathmore.

Lynne works with Cary Whaley to develop educational workshops for SAW. To date, she has coordinated two workshops -- "The Business of Music" and "How To Get Your Music on the Radio." She is working on a third workshop called "Legal Issues for Singer/Songwriters" to be offered in 2006.

Lynne is a composer who writes both jazz vocals in the genre of the "old standards" and childrens music as well. She works closely with vocalist Danielle Westphal, who recorded a CD of Lynne's songs. Lynne's original song "When You Fall," co-written by Danielle, won the SAW Silver award for the Open Category in 2005.
