Sol Roots is a fierce guitarist, bassist, and soulful singer who has toured around the world with many roots, funk, and blues legends. Sol and his band create a unique blend of energetic rock, raw blues, reggae, and funk, all delivered with deep soul.

Sol Roots (Sol & Funk Root) have performed at many premier festivals and venues across the east coast US, and the band includes musicians that have worked with Tommy Castro, Hobex, Corey Harris, Deanna Bogart, Jah Works, Mike Zito, Squirrel Nut Zippers and more.

Paying homage to the greats, Sol seeks to push musical boundaries and bring Roots Music to a new generation of listeners.  www.SolRootsMusic.com

The Glimpses are a folk rock duo based in Alexandria, Virginia. Drawing inspiration from traditional folk, blues, country, rock, and jazz, singer/songwriter Mercedes Mill and multi-instrumentalist and producer Matthew Leonard create soulful tunes, steeped in haunting melodies and honeyed harmonies. Their live performances are warm and intimate. They’ve played throughout the region, including at Iota, the Mountville Folk Festival, the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance, the Corner Store, DC9, and the DC Green Festival.

Craig Cummings is a performing songwriter who has been part of the mid-Atlantic music scene for many years. He began playing gigs as a teenager, and quickly picked up with older musicians who appreciated his tendency to treat every rehearsal as if it were a show in front of a thousand people. Many years later, Craig continues to present energetic performances and seldom misses an opportunity to share his songs with new listeners. His influences range from 70’s era singer-songwriters such as Jackson Browne, Neil Young, and Townes Van Zandt to more contemporary southern artists such as Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle, and Ryan Adams. Craig uses his strong voice and rhythmic guitar style to help him tell interesting stories of heartbroken lovers, down-on-their-luck drifters, and road trips with no destination. His songs are filled with hooks that stay in the listener’s head long after the show has ended. Austin and Nashville call his name, but Baltimore owns his heart.

Ricardo White and Divining Sage provide the sound of an urban trance guitar with blue notes with delightful percussion supplied by Ron Goad and special guests.   www.diviningsage.com

Filling in as host for this evening, Ron Goad!
