Feeling a little unloved and lonely this coming February 14th, Valentine's Day?? Well, we at the Songwriters Association of Washington LOVE you songwriters and we want you to feel loved and appreciated at this very special 2nd Saturday Open Mic at the Surge, 1988 Kirby Road in McLean, VA. Starting at 7:30 p.m., the entire evening is dedicated to LOVE SONGS and we want to hear yours! Okay, so they broke your heart later on, but when you were falling for them, you wrote those heartfelt "I love you" songs about them and for them and to them, right? At least you got a couple of good songs out of that relationship, and we'd love to hear them!
And if you're NOT feeling unloved and lonely, bring your sweetheart for an uplifting evening of love songs, so you can find the words to tell them how you really feel. Or bring them so they can hear you SING your song of love to them, amplified with our stellar sound system, nice and loud and in front of everyone, a moment in time they will never forget!
The SAW-sponsored FREE snacks will include lots of chocolates, brownies, and strawberries with chocolate dip (a Valentine's favorite) and the beverages will include hot chocolate, of course! There's FREE parking, as always, and the live entertainment is free as well. If you'd like to reserve the best spot to perform, sign up in advance by reply to this email or to paige@paigepowellmusic.com. You are welcome to sing as many as 3 songs (less than 15 minutes total time) or just one song is okay! Or if you'd rather just come to our party, you don't have to perform at all!
