Dinner and all activities are FREE for SAW members (Non-members: $10 per workshop; $10 dinner).

11:45 am Community Day Welcome and Check-In begins
Join SAW or renew your SAW membership to participate in free members-only activities. Receive your meal ticket and more. At this time, you may drop off a CD for the “First Impressions" critique, or sign up for the Performance critique.
Noon to Sunset Song Circles
Open to all. Indoors and outdoors under a tent, continuous throughout the day.
Noon to 1:00 pm Tips & Pointers with Jim Clark
A song circle hosted by Jim that includes pointers about alternate tunings, the use of capos, and more.
1:00 – 2:00 pm First Impressions
A panel of music leaders listens to and comments on SAW members’ recorded original songs on CD. Panelists include:
Scott Moore (panel leader), of Focus Music, NERFA, and more.

2:00 – 2:30 pm Tony Denikos Performance
Tony was the Grand Prize Winner of SAW's 29th Mid-Atlantic Song Contest, and he’ll share his songs and stories. www.tonydenikos.com
2:30 – 3:30 pm Lyric Workshop with Naked Blue
Award-winning duo Jennifer Ferguson Smith & Scott Smith share songs and discuss lyric writing. A mainstay on the Folk/Pop scene, they are the recipient of several Wammie awards, and their music has been featured in film and on television. www.nakedblue.com
3:30 – 4:45 pm Guitar Workshop with Reid Schoenfelder
Reid shares songs and presents techniques and tips for chord variations and more to make a singing guitarist's solo show always exciting and interesting. 5:00 pm Speed Networking
Based on a workshop devised by Human Factor. www.Factor.net Meet with music industry leaders from an array of DC-area music organizations, in this interactive and fun activity.

During dinner: Mid-Atlantic Song Contest Director Loralyn Coles officially unveils the new 30th Winners’ compilation CD, SAW Leaders introduced, and door prizes given away.
6:45 pm Performance Critique
Receive a written critique of your performance of an original song. Sign up when you arrive at the Registration Desk. (SAW members only.)
8:00-10:00 pm Open Mic and Community Day conclusion.
SAW members perform a song or two. Cleanup volunteers needed afterwards - please stay and help if you can.
